Co-presented by the Pacific Canada Heritage Centre-Museum of Migration & the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives BC Office this launch of the book Challenging Racist “British Columbia”: 150 Years and Counting took place on March 21, 2021. The co-authors Nicholas XEMŦOLTW̱ Claxton, Denise Fong, Fran Morrison, Christine O’Bonsawin, Maryka Omatsu, John Price and Sharanjit Kaur Sandhra were all present to share how they hope the illustrated resource will be used by educators and activists interested in doing anti-racist work. The discussion was moderated by Carol Liao and the event was opened by elder Larry Grant. Community questions came from Handel Wright, Sherri Kajiwara and Emira Mears.
